The Brief
TMJ Legal Services asked us to create an online version of their Office Manual. As recent changes have required them to rewrite the document, TMJ wanted to take the opportunity to upgrade to an online site which would be more easily accessible from their four offices in the North East.
What happened next
After speaking with the client, we determined that the software: Media Wiki would be the best fit for this project. MediaWiki is a free open source wiki software package that was the original basis for Wikipedia.
The Wiki allows TMJ to be able to view and collaboratively update the office manual, as well as store templates for their letters/documents. These files can be uploaded and stored with a history (a basic version control), so the date/time and user is recorded each time a file is updated and ensures that details can be referred back to at a later date.

The Wiki has provided TMJ with a central repository for their Office Manual which is much more accessible for their staff – especially across the four offices in the North East and the occasional need to access it from remote locations.
